Soma is the name of a generic prescription medication named Carisoprodol. Soma or Carisoprodol has long been prescribed to patients as a muscle relaxant and pain reliever, but it has been under review in recent decades. There is growing concern that Soma has the potential to be abused and addicted on its own. There is also a growing number of people who intentionally mix Soma and other medications, leading to emergency room visits and fatal overdoses.
