Training camp at Fisher runs July 25 through Aug. 6 in the Pittsford suburb of Rochester. In 2019, the Bills will hold ten practice sessions at Fisher, with eight practices open to the public—down from 14 sessions and 11 open practices at Fisher in 2018. In 2017 (the first for head coach Sean McDermott) the team held 13 sessions at Fisher, with only one night practice. This is the first year the team will not hold a single night practice at Fisher. With each passing year where the number of practice sessions at Fisher decreases, the question of how long the team will continue to hold training camp there becomes more relevant. During a session with reporters Friday White Bruce Smith Jerseys , McDermott admitted there is an “ongoing evaluation” into the team’s long-term commitment to holding training camp at Fisher. Buffalo constructed two new practice fields adjacent to their field house at One Bills Drive in the last two years, providing the team with ample space for hosting training camp. The Bills also recently completed more than $18 million in renovations to their current training facility and weight room this offseason. When the team moved its training camp from Fredonia to Pittsford in 2000, the move was dictated by a drive to regionalize the franchise and get more fans from Rochester interested in the team. Today, the Bills are among a handful of teams who hold training camp at a separate location. “You’ve watched over the years the number of teams that don’t go away versus the teams that go away. It’s changed drastically. For that being one of the reasons, you have to give consideration to the cost/benefit of going away. I still believe, and I know [GM] Brandon [Beane] does too, that there are benefits that are involved with going away,” McDermott said. “It’s an ongoing evaluation. If it weren’t Bruce Smith Jerseys 2019 , we wouldn’t be doing our collective jobs because of what we now have here. The needs of the modern athlete change every day. We have to make sure we are giving them every chance to become the best versions of themselves.” After training camp, the Bills return to Orchard Park to kick off the preseason against the Indianapolis Colts on Aug. 8. While the Bills have an agreement to stay at Fisher until 2021, the franchise could always buy out the remaining years on the deal and move training camp back to the team facilities at One Bills Drive. 2019 training camp schedule at St. John FisherThursday, July 25: 9:45 a.m.Friday, July 26: 9:45 a.m.Saturday, July 27: 9:45 a.m.Sunday, July 28: 9:45 a.m.Tuesday, July 30: 9:45 a.m. (session is closed to the public)Wednesday White Andre Reed Jerseys , July 31: 9:45 a.m.Thursday, Aug. 1: 9:45 a.m.Friday, Aug. 2: 6:15 p.m. at New Era FieldSunday, Aug. 4: 2:45 p.m.Monday, Aug. 5: 9:45 a.m. (session is closed to the public)Tuesday, Aug. 6: 9:45 a.m. The long, rangy edge figures to battle for a rotational spot along the defensive line"WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections NewsNotesOpinionAnalysisDiscussionPodcastNFL DraftSalary CapNewsBuffalo Bills NFL Draft CoverageBuffalo Bills select defensive end Darryl Johnson with first of two seventh-round picksNew,25commentsThe long Andre Reed Jerseys 2019 , rangy edge figures to battle for a rotational spot along the defensive lineEDTShareTweetShareShareBuffalo Bills select defensive end Darryl Johnson with first of two seventh-round picksWith the 225th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills have selected North Carolina A&T defensive end Darryl Johnson.
