The vacuum pump can be defined as the device or configuration that controls the machine, physics, chemistry or physical chemistry to pump air to the evacuated container. With the development of vacuum application, there are many kinds of vacuum pumps, whose pumping speed is from 0.5 liter per second to hundreds of thousands or millions of liters per second. The limit pressure (limit vacuum) ranges from coarse vacuum to ultra-high vacuum above 10-12 PA. Due to the wide range of incident pressure involved in the vacuum application part, any kind of vacuum pump can be completely applied to the whole incident pressure range, only according to different incident pressure range and different incident requirements, different types of vacuum pump can be used. In order to make use of the convenience and the necessity of various vacuum processes, various vacuum pumps are occasionally combined according to their properties and requirements, and they are applied in the unit type, i.e. vacuum unit.
The vacuum pump can be used alone, and can also be used as the pre pump of booster pump, diffusion pump, molecular pump, maintenance pump and titanium pump. It can be used in the manufacture of electric vacuum vessel, vacuum welding, printing, plastic absorption, refrigeration equipment maintenance, instrument equipment matching and laboratory, etc.
The two rotors of vacuum pump are operated synchronously by a pair of high precision gears. The driving shaft is connected with the motor through the coupling. There are mainly two types of transmission structure arrangement: one is that the motor and gear are placed on the same side of the rotor as shown in the figure. Driven rotor is directly driven by the motor end gear, so that the torsional deformation of the active rotor shaft is small, the gap between the two rotors will not be changed due to the large torsional deformation of the active shaft, so that the gap between the rotors is even in the operation process. The major disadvantages of this transmission mode are: A. There are three bearings on the driving shaft, which increases the difficulty of processing and assembly of the pump, and the disassembly and adjustment of the gear is also inconvenient; B. the overall structure is uneven, and the center of gravity of the pump is inclined to the side of the motor and gearbox.
