BUCHAREST， Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Moldova's President Igor Dodon on Tuesday signed the decree on dismissal of the Defense Minister Anatol Salaru.


""The document enters into force today. The government is to submit another candidate to president in order to appoint a new minister，"" President's political adviser and spokesman Ion Ceban was quoted as saying by official Moldpres news agency.


The president accused Salaru of being ""coquetted"" with NATO on his social media account.


He also described Salaru's attempt to end the country's neutrality status as a ""provocation.""


Before the dismissal， Salaru had lost the support from the Liberal Party， which he belongs to.


The party's national council dismissed Salaru from the post of the first deputy head of the party in the middle of December.


President Igor Dodon took the office last Friday. Running on the Party of Socialists ticket， Dodon won the presidential runoff on Nov. 13 with 52.18 percent of the vote.
