RIO DE JANEIRO, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Botafogo are close to signing former Brazil international midfielder Daniel Carvalho, the Rio de Janeiro club said on Wednesday.


The 32-year-old has begun training with the club and is expected to sign a season-long contract within days, Botafogo coach Rene Simoes said.
