A day after India's protest against the outcome of Sarita Devi's semifinal against South Korea's Park Ji-Na was rejected, Devi burst into tears as she walked to the podium on Wednesday and refused to receive the bronze medal. She then tried to hang it around the neck of Park, who lost to China's Yin Junhua in Wednesday's final in a 2-0 decision.


Meanwhile, China's Li Qian contentiously lost a decision against DPR Korean boxer Jang Un-hui in the women's 75kg final.


"It was obvious that Li had the upper hand throughout the bout. Li gave the DPR Korean boxer several heavy punches. We can't accept the decision," complained Chinese team official Cui Fuguo.


China filed a protest immediately after the match but was rejected.


In the other bout of the day, Indian Mary Kom won her first Asian Games gold following a victory over Kazakhstan's Zhaina Shekerbekova in the final of the 51kg category.
