ALEXANDRIA， Egypt， Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- The Egyptian national football team scored on Sunday evening a 2-0 win over its rival Ghana in FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifiers at a stadium in the Egyptian coastal city of Alexandria.
Egyptian player Mohamed Salah， a famous striker playing for Rome Club in Italy， scored the first goal from a penalty kick three minutes before the end of the first half while his teammate， Egypt's Al-Ahly midfielder Abdullah al-Saeed scored the second goal a few minutes before the end of the match.
The Ghanaian team played a good match but the rightful penalty kick for Egypt at a critical time of the first half changed the game.
With this win in the qualifiers， Egypt takes the lead with six points in Africa's Group E that also includes Uganda and Congo.
