NEW YORK -- Brandon Prust returns but fellow forward Dale Weise is out and defenceman Alexei Emelin is a game-time decision for the Montreal Canadiens. The Rangers are without suspended defenceman John Moore, with ex-Hab Raphael Diaz expected to play in his place in the third defensive pairing. Both teams had lineup issues ahead of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference final. A win and the Rangers can advance to the Stanley Cup final for the first time in 20 years. A loss and New York has to go back to the Bell Centre for a deciding game. Montreal coach Michel Therrien confirmed after Thursdays morning skate that Weise, flattened by the hit that earned Moore a two-game suspension, would not play. Emelin, who missed Game 5 with an undisclosed injury, did not take part in the morning skate either but was seen on an exercise bike outside the locker-room. Prust returns from his two-game suspension for breaking Derek Stepans jaw with a blindside hit in Game 3. "Hes going to be hungry to play," said Therrien. "Hes going to play hard. Hes excited about playing tonight so were glad hes back in the lineup." Weise seemed woozy after the Moore hit Tuesday in Game 5 but returned to action after spending time in the dressing room. On Thursday, Therrien denied that Weise had a head injury. Therrien said Weise, who plays in the Habs third line, told doctors he "felt fine" about finishing the last game. The Montreal coach said player safety is Job 1, but noted that Stepan finished Game 3 with what turned out to be a broken jaw. "Those are the things that you see at this time of the year," he said. "Right now (Weise) has a body injury so he wont be able to lay tonight." Asked what specific tests an injured player like Weise has to pass to get back into the game, Therrien essentially said that was up to the team doctors. "Those are the things I that dont know, because as a coach I never get a concussion," said a smiling Therrien. "But one thing I trust, we trust our medical staff, we trust the doctor. So when theyre saying hes good to go. hes good to go." The Habs are 22-7-4 with Weise in the lineup and 5-4-0 without him. Goalie Carey Price, knocked out of the series in Game 1, came onto the ice in full gear near the end of the Canadiens skate. He did the same thing earlier this week in Montreal. Dustin Tokarski, the 24-year-old who has stepped in for Price, did not speak to reporters Thursday. Rangers starter Henrik Lundqvist, given the hook last time out, drew a crowd in front of his stall. With the Rangers looking to close out the series, the music wafting out of the New York locker-room area earlier at Madison Square Garden was appropriate -- "Closing Time" by Semisonic. "No Canada" was the headline on the back page of the New York Daily News. The kicker read "Rangers: We cant let series go back to Montreal." The New York Post headline was "Code Blue." Much has been said about the need to get a good start in the series, with Therrien acknowledging the first 10 minutes of the game are always crucial. "But Im going to tell you something, the whole entire 60 minutes are going to be really important," he said with a smile. Vigneault, whose exchange with the English media lasted three and a half minutes, offered no reaction to the league banning Moore for two games. He also did not want to speak about the 7-4 loss in Game 5 in Montreal, saying "Weve moved on." The Rangers coach did say he expected a big game from Lundqvist, who was pulled in the second period last time out after giving up four goals on 19 shots. "I expect him to play like he always does. Hes a great goaltender." Said Rangers forward Rick Nash: "Hes a world-class goalie. Hes been our best player all season, all the playoffs." Therriens pre-game meeting with the media was equally pithy, lasting just under eight minutes in English and French. CHAUNCEY BILLUPS (Pistons): Yes they got Josh Smith and Brandon Jennings in the off-season and Andre Drummond is a beast (teams are kicking themselves for passing on him - he rebounds and block shots every game - thats two more discernable and significant skills than most guys in his draft class), but dont for a second discount the impact of having a savvy veteran like Billups on your team. http://www.authentichockeyshopwild.com/a...din+wild+jersey. The 10-year deal the league and players agreed to that ended the 2011 lockout gave either side the right to opt out after six years. With the league projecting financial growth, there has been speculation that players will take that option in three years, especially since a new national TV contract will be in place by then. Nino Niederreiter Jersey . The Major League Soccer teams were scheduled to play on Saturday night, but their game was rescheduled after Stu Tudor was hit during a pregame storm. A night later, he was back to help lead a rout of the Detroit Pistons. John Wall had 20 points and 11 assists, and Beal scored 10 of his 15 points during the second quarter as Washington pulled away for a 106-82 victory on Saturday.EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - The Giants defence will look vastly different against the Cowboys Sunday than it did a month ago in the teams first meeting in Dallas. With as many as six new starters because of injuries, the Giants could have its hands full with Tony Romos favourite targets.Injured cornerback Prince Amukamara is no longer in the secondary and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is still working through problems with his back and hamstring.Because of his Rodgers-Cromarties tenuous playing status, Jayron Hosley and Chykie Brown may have to alternate responsibilities guarding Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant. Despite the big-play wideout catching nine balls for 151 yards against Amukamara, the cornerback kept him out of the end zone while recording seven tackles, an interception, and two pass breakups.Whether Rodgers-Cromartie can duplicate that effort depends on how much he plays. He only participated in 15 snaps the first time around and its uncertain how hell hold up Sunday night. There are times he has to come out of the game. The matchup part of it, wed love to have him stay in, Giants coach Tom Coughlin said.Rodgers-Cromartie said he plans to be aggressive against the speedster who leads the Cowboys with 56 catches for 793 yards and eight touchdowns.Youve got to get a little animated out there, Rodgers-Cromartie said. Hes going to talk back. Hes a tough customer. Youve just got to cover him for as long as you can.How long is the question. Once Rodgers-Cromartie steps into the secondary, he is there to stay until his back or hamstring tighten and he takes himself out of the game. Bryant will likely be left to Brown while the starter rests.Im very confident in Brown, defensive co-ordinator Perry Fewell said of the played picked up on waivers earlier this month. Hes done a nice job for us since hes been here.dddddddddddd Very good student in the classroom. Loves the challenge. The issues dont stop with Rodgers-Cromartie, however. Zack Bowman has taken over for Amukamara, and Jameel McClain has moved into middle linebacker for Jon Beason. With Jacquian Williams sidelined with a concussion, Mark Herzlich has started at weak side linebacker. And Mike Patterson probably will replace Cullen Jenkins as he battles a calf strain.Mathias Kiwanuka has also been taking limited snaps because of a knee sprain. Those changes might create numerous opportunities not only for Bryant, but for running back DeMarco Murray, who rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown in the first meeting and tight end Jason Witten. The spotlight, however, will be on Rodgers-Cromarties matchup with the Cowboys game-breaking receiver.DRC is going to give us everything he has, safety Antrel Rolle said. Thats all we can ask of him at this moment.NOTES: OL Geoff Schwartz continued to make strides in his comeback from a dislocated toe, but it remained unclear where he would play Sunday against the Cowboys. Right tackle Justin Pugh (quads) remained out of practice, and it is possible Schwartz could take his spot. But Coughlin said the Giants considered him more of a guard. He could also move to left guard to allow rookie Weston Richburg to replace the faulty J.D. Walton at centre. But Schwartz said right tackle duty would not pose a major problem for him. Playing on the right side, Ive done it so long that I know how to use my hands better, said Schwartz, who played nine games at right tackle for Carolina in 2009 and 2010. I dont think about it. You just gotta go play.... DT Cullen Jenkins (calf) and LB Jacquian Williams (concussion) did not practice. Williams did do some running on the side.
